Very good example again here Mike. This is a load bearing wall as well as being a partition. It is conducting the Joist load to a foundation. It is also a good example of Lime leaching here as well. This as resulted in white insoluble calcarious deposits on the face of the blockwork. This is caused by the portland cement mortar which as been subjected to severe wetting during setting and hardening process.
